Growing up in a time of technological advancements, change always seemed like a possibility.
We witnessed the power of firsts that expanded our imaginations and introduced us to new ideas, like the possibility of exploring galaxies far away. Being geeks before it was trendy, we had tangible role models who were honest and relatable, making it easy to picture ourselves in their shoes, traveling to new worlds and venturing into new technologies.
Although governance and power structures were still corrupt and idealistic, and the culture around us was not inclusive, there were so many firsts that it felt like we could dream big and achieve greatness with hard work and collaboration.
However, nowadays, there is a general feeling that it's easier to be mentally disconnected while being fully connected technologically. The pressure to present a perfect image and receive likes and positive attention can be draining, leading to dependence and negatively affecting our mental health. It's crucial to prioritise ourselves and remove toxic influences to gain a better understanding of who we are.
At Candibox, we encourage you to be yourself and not let others' narratives manipulate you. If it doesn't feel right, it probably isn't. Our upcoming blogs will showcase our professional views, current role models, and industry knowledge.
We aim to demonstrate who we are through our words and actions, and we welcome you to join us on our journey.
